Watertown COT Pitches in for Cancer Center Fundraiser

On October 1, members of the Watertown Community Outreach Team (COT) joined the Watertown Police Department for its sixth annual charity golf tournament to benefit the Harold Leever Cancer Center in Watertown, CT.

Although no slots remained for tournament players, four Click Bonders — Steve Santos, Chris Millette, Tyler Baptista, and Kaitlyn Pierzanowski — volunteered their time to help the tournament run smoothly by assisting with the poker run, in which participants must visit five to seven checkpoints, drawing playing cards at each one, with the objective being to complete the run with the best poker hand.

The tournament, which took place at the Crestbrook Park Steve Santos. Golf Course, supports the center’s Stepping Forward Survivorship Program, which addresses the needs of cancer survivors and provides them with effective post-treatment plans for care, disease prevention, and support.

Thanks to the Watertown PD, tournament teams, sponsors, and community volunteers, the event raised an impressive $20,000 for the Leever Cancer Center!
