In partnership with our partners in Australia, Applied Fasteners & Tooling (AFT), Click Bonders Larry Biggin and Mark Egeberg attended the tradeshow February 28 – March 3.
With 48,516 attendees over three full days, Avalon 2023, the Australian International Airshow held in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, was 24% larger than the 2019 event — the last time it was held in person. The event also saw a 50% increase in the number of official delegations present, and a 14% increase in the number of participating companies, up to a remarkable 798 — and Click Bond was one of them.
In partnership with our partners in Australia, Applied Fasteners & Tooling (AFT), Click Bonders Larry Biggin and Mark Egeberg attended the tradeshow February 28 – March 3, and we were impressed by the scale of the event.
According to U.S. Trade Commissioners who visited the booth, the next Avalon show in 2025 is expected to grow by 30%. The aerospace industry in Australia and the region is growing. At the booth and at the show, we saw more new programs of significance being generated since the last show in 2019.
The Australian Defence Force had a strong presence at the show, along with overseas representation from Japan, South Korea, the United States, Israel, Malaysia, and other countries, creating an international flavor for Avalon.
At the Click Bond/AFT booth, we saw plenty of activity. It was obvious that Colin Campbell and the rest of the team at AFT have developed great relationships with everyone in the industry, as many company representatives made their way to the booth to greet them and learn about their most recent activities.
All in all, the energy at the Avalon Airshow was tremendous, and we look forward to engaging on many new programs!
