COT Embarks on Space Odyssey ... for Scouts!
Seven members of the Carson City Community Outreach Team volunteered their time on Saturday, April 15th, for the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada Space Odyssey 2023 event.
Seven members of the Carson City Community Outreach Team volunteered their time on Saturday, April 15th, for the Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada Space Odyssey 2023 event at the National Automobile Museum in Reno. This fun event enabled the girls to discover secrets of our solar system while partaking in fun and interactive activities, including viewing the sun through a special Hydrogen Alpha telescope, and they got an opportunity to learn about science and space careers as well.
Click Bond’s COT members entertained visitors at our booth with an airplane game in which the girls were challenged with using fasteners and tape, similar to rivets and adhesives, to repair and fly airplanes. Demo boards allowed us to show the scouts our products, how they work, and why they’re important, and we enjoyed talking to the girls about Click Bond as a company. We even had a wheel the attendees could spin for swag, which included space-themed temporary tattoos.
