Click Bond's Watertown, CT Community Outreach Team supports local nonprofit organization, Carolyn's Place
The Community Outreach Team (COT) at Click Bond’s Watertown facility recently had an opportunity to help with its Diaper Drive for Carolyn’s Place. At this donation drive held in early March, the COT worked with the team at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church to collect diapers and baby wash to benefit the organization.
Carolyn’s Place is a nonprofit organization in Waterbury, CT, that provides needed education and supplies to young expectant mothers who are facing unplanned pregnancies or lack support. It was founded in 1991 when a baby was left at the doorstep of the church.
The COT’s involvement was thanks to one of our members, John Alho, who brought the event to the team’s attention. On very short notice, one week before the collection period ended, the COT took action, instituting a campus-wide collection. Ultimately, we were able to fill five boxes with diapers and baby wash to donate. Additionally, members of the COT had the pleasure of visiting Carolyn’s Place and presenting its staff with a $500 check on behalf of Click Bond.
Participating in the donation drive was a rewarding experience, and our entire team felt it was an honor and privilege to serve the community through Click Bond.
