Project 150 Donation Drive Will Support Reno Youth

The Community Outreach Team (COT) in Carson City recently completed a successful two-week donation drive to support Project 150. Project 150 is a nonprofit organization that collects and offers nonperishable food, school supplies, clothing, bedding, and toiletries to displaced, homeless, and disadvantaged youth. It was founded in Las Vegas by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to help these young people stay in school and graduate. In 2014, the Northern Nevada chapter in Reno was founded by Liz McFarland.

The organization concentrates its efforts on serving high school students of all genders. New or unused, donated items are displayed in a boutique-type setting at its Foster Drive location in Reno. This setting allows students to have a “shopping” experience and independence when selecting clothing and shoes. Ultimately, the items help them gain confidence, which encourages them to continue school, go on to graduate, and build brighter futures for themselves.

I’m proud to say that Click Bonders donated a monetary donation of $300 and over 500 toiletry items to the donation drive, which were delivered to Project 150 Reno on Wednesday, June 2nd. Although the Click Bond drive is over, Project 150 will gratefully accept your donations of new and unused items, as well as monetary and gift card donations.
